Is money important in relationship?

Not all relationships end with "happily ever after". Real life is not like a movie or a romantic story. There is almost zero possibility that someone will pick a handsome beggar as a lover than a handsome millionaire. No doubt that money serve as an important factor in an relationship. I believe most of the couples would quarrel on matters about money.

Yes money is important in a relationship but it is not everything in a relationship. Relationship includes many other factors. Money is a must in current society. Without money, even if a relationship is maintained, it would be broken apart very soon.

In a relationship like marriage, money is spent in everyway-- from honeymoon or wedding costumes. All these are extremely costly but these are musts in a marriage. Perhaps relationship without money only exists in fairytales.

  1. Very realistic views, Zi Han! Just want to point out that you have used happily ever after in the wrong context. You see, even if someone picks a handsome millionaire over a handsome beggar, there might still not be a happily ever after. Do remember that money is the root of all evil!

  2. Hey Zi Han! I agree with you that money is not all that matters. However it would be ideal if you could include a few other factors that would ensure a successful relationship.

  3. Indeed, you touched on an important point, which is that relationships include many other factors other than money. But I suggest that you can include other factors which you have mentioned, do make it more convincing that money is not the most important aspect of relationships. I like it when you compare it with fairytales.
Kevyn! Do take note that contrary to what most people believe, money is not the root of all evil. Instead, its the people's nature and greed for money that develops the evil that was never even present in money itself!

  4. Hey I agree with you but money can cause relationships to be destroyed as for example being obsessed with your job and neglecting your duties. The most important thing is about the thought and the effort put into in the relationship to maintain it.
